&Woodlab was created as a space in which proud traditions of craftsmanship merge with reinterpretation. Through idea- and knowledge sharing we find out how to take a tree that is in its original state and transform it into a product that people need and want to look at. We take on various tasks of cabinetmaking, including customized décor that requires knowhow and flexibility. In order to push ourselves and find the right solution that fits a client’s needs, we gladly cross the borders of traditional cabinetmaking. That way we create a customized product that satisfies our clients and that we can be satisfied with as professionals. Our own products make up a significant part of &Woodlab’s spirit. The ideas behind our products come from the daily activities, from a fascination of what is handy and useful, from the simple improvement of practical details, from the establishment of the fashionable or just an idea that comes to us just before we fall asleep. This part of our company evolves and forms the foundation for collaboration across disciplines and businesses. Collaboration is a strong tool in our efforts to convey &Woodlab’s spirit. In collaboration with other companies we see the possibilities in combining various professional knowhow that mounts out to creating the relevant products with personality, reinterpretation and quality for the customer who wants a product beyond expectation. We followed our hearts, when decided to locate &Woodlab in Thy. The nature here embraces you; it invites you to use it and live in it. In the midst of the big trees we find our inspiration, the thoughts come to us, and ideas are created. Thy is a wild place with raw nature, sincere people, and that is exactly what &Woodlab is all about. &Woodlab was founded in 2013 by Mathias Hedal. Mathias is a professional cabinetmaker, as he completed his apprenticeship with Chr. Juul Andersen in 2005 with a bronze medal.
