Lyager was established in the fall of 2014. Luckily, we've been busy ever since. Lyager started out as a dream to make designs with focus on contrasting elements. Thus, the raw elements and the elegant lines make the foundation of our designs. In our opinion, quality and design go hand in hand, which is why Danish production is a focal point of our business.
Lyager Design is a design studio based in Aarhus, Denmark, and consists of Marie Louise and Nikolaj. Marie Louise is studying architecture and Nikolaj is a trained engineer. Being an architect Marie Louise is very observant of her surroundings and she often finds a lot of inspiration in materials. Typically we decide on which materials and colors, we find exciting before we have a specific product in mind. We have a very experimental approach to designing and we always strive for rethinking interior design. The vision of our firm is that every product should have a challenging aspect to it, whether it's functionality or materiality. This works for us.
